Javier Ismael Fernandez - was dealing with a house sale for the owners of a property we were buying. Important paperwork/information was withheld before signing the 10%. After signing the 10%, 1 week before final purchase we were told many things were wrong with the house with processes over 1 year to fix. this is NOT what the original agreement was and told the notary why we were not completing sale. The house was left in an utter disgrace, dead animals, medication everywhere with damage that was not there on original visit. I also found this man VERY rude, trying to tell my lawyer I do not have money etc (we had an 800k inheritance income plus our own money). This whole process is at fault of him and the owners, but rather than being professional and owning up to their mistakes they now ignore all my lawyers emails and request of deposit back. So we are now going down the route of taking them to court to claim the deposit back, damages and costs this has caused to us.

Buying a home in the UK is stressful but buying one in Spain with limited Spanish is significantly more so. That said, the recommendation to appoint Javier as our solicitor was an excellent one. Javier was extremely helpful and professional throughout the transaction, totally understanding our nervousness and putting us at ease where at all possible. We had a truly excellent experience with Javier while buying a property in the Malaga area. With a slightly complicated and 'rushed' mortgage application process, we were challenged to meet our payment deadline. Javier's efficient approach and quick thinking, (as well as perfect English), were all key to preventing things from falling through at the last minute. (FYI - we also worked with Target Real Estate and had a very good experience.)
